Valentines Day Art

Since I've been out of commission the last few days with a cold that is kicking my butt, I've had plenty of time to troll the internet and I stumbled upon (on Craft Gawker not Stumble Upon) a blog post by Sugar Sugar House about a site called Tagxedo, how I have not heard of this site before is beyond me, it is INCREDIBLE!!!!! These are an example of just a few of the many (and when I say many I mean like 25 or so) prints I designed:

I am making these and framing them for my kids and Hubby for Valentines Day, hence the warning above. I'm going to put them on a thumb drive and bring them to Staples and have them enlarged (just a tip, always use the word "poster" at the copy store it's cheaper than when you ask for an enlargement, not really sure why, but it is). These make such a great personalized gift for so many occasions wedding, anniversary, new home, Mothers Day, the possibilities are endless. The site is super easy to use, just pick a shape, there are quite a few to choose from, a color pallet, font and type in the words you wish to appear on your art and your on your way. While you can't choose the word placement exactly you can keep generating new placements until you find one that you like. There are so many different possibilities, I suggest just playing around with it for a while until you figure out the ins and outs of the program. When you have a word combination or saying with several words in it you have to add a ~ in between the words with no spaces, in order for them to appear together on you art piece. You will need to go into the word/layout options to adjust it if you want to use numbers or punctuation marks. That's my bit of crafty goodness for the day, have fun and be forewarned it's addicting!
